Notes on Gnocchi and More

Today we attended a cooking class in the Trastevere section of Rome.  Our menu was:

An appetizer of fresh purple artichokes, deep fried in a light beer batter

Pasta course:
Gnocchi with fresh tomato sauce, ricotta, and basil

Secondi Piatti:
Saltimbocca made with sirloin steak, prosciutto, cheese and fresh sage leaves

Dolce:
A molten center chocolate soufflé

The class was taught by a charming young chef, Andrea Consoli. Below are pictures of our cooking experience.  Some of the recipes will be provided in future posts.  Please let me know through your comments which recipes you would like to see!  Ciao!
