Cook the Part

Delicious, Interactive and Fun Team Cooking

Cook the Part is much more than a collection of recipes; it’s a complete entertaining guide. This book turns cooking into an experience where the culinary destination is not nearly as important as the journey.

Cook the Part provides detailed hosting plans that divide an entire gourmet menu into scripted parts, allowing groups of 6-12 participants to enjoy the cooking process together. Everyone cooks their part, contributing to multiple courses, while learning from each other and enjoying the interaction with other guests.

“I hosted a party at a friend’s house who had a larger kitchen and we prepared the Handmade Pasta meal. Two groups made pasta from scratch while the other two prepared the fillings for the ravioli, the salad and the lemon gelato. Everyone had a great time, including the husband who had rarely been seen in the kitchen before, and the food was wonderful. Each guest took pleasure in being able to help prepare the food. The instructions were easy enough to follow that everyone wanted to do it again.

“Cook the Part” is a great book for anyone hosting a dinner party and hopefully companion volumes will follow.”

“I am always looking for new ways to entertain, and this book didn’t disappoint! Grouping the recipes by theme will make it easy to select my first attempt at hosting a cooking party. The recipes are mouth-watering, and the tasks are broken out thoughtfully and in a detailed manner.

Seeing the schedules in grid / spreadsheet form helped me visualize breaking out separate cooking tasks and how it will all come together on time, and I appreciated that time to socialize was worked in during the process as well as logically at the conclusion, when we all sit down together to eat. Well done – I can’t wait to get started!”
